4shared.com bringing its file sharing service to Windows Phone with official app in the works

Popular file sharing website 4shared.com (www.4shared.com) is currently developing an official app for the Windows Phone platform, according to a response from the support team. When contacted about a possible app in the works, a member of the 4shared.com support team confirmed that an app is indeed in development. Unfortunately, no further details were shared.

The web service has numerous apps available for a variety of mobile platforms, including BlackBerry, Symbian and Series 40. It's positive to see Windows Phone support in the works, but for the meantime consumers are urged to utilise the mobile website until a solution is readily available on the store. That, or use Microsoft's OneDrive.

Thanks, Jack, for sending in the info!
