We first took a look 7-Minute Workout over the summer and found it to be a simple, yet effective Windows Phone 8 fitness app. 7-Minute Workout guides you through twelve exercises in seven minutes designed to get your heart pumping, muscles flexing and calories burning.
The fitness app was recently updated to add a little more customization to the exercise routine and to launch a free version where users can purchase additional features via in-app purchases.
The version 18.104.22.168 update adds the option to control the duration of each exercise and the rest periods. Workouts may be as short as three minutes or span over seventeen minutes. You can also change the order of the exercises and to choose to use voice prompts in addition to audio cues with the exercises.
Another nice feature with the update is the ability to pause a workout. You can pause the workout through the on-screen pause button or by navigating out of the app. If life gets in the way and you need to reset the workout, just press/hold the pause button when you revisit the workout.
If you're pressed for time and need a way to get into or stay in shape, 7-Minute Workout isn't a bad option to consider for your Windows Phone 8 device.
There is a $.99 paid version of the 7-Minute Workout that does have a trial version. Additionally, you now have a free version of 7-Minute Workout available. It covers the basics but the customizations (workout durations, pause, reset, etc.) will cost you $.99 through an in-app purchase.
