Acer's new Predator series monitors pack G-SYNC, 4K and curves

Acer had teased that its Predator gaming line would be the focus of its IFA event and it hasn't disappointed. Alongside laptops and desktops, the lineup is completed by the Z35 and XB Series gaming monitors that pack NVIDIA G-SYNC technology and options including 4K and Ultrawide curved screens.

We last saw a Predator monitor from Acer at Computex a few months back, and with these new ones the company is continuing to deliver where it matters while still offering a design that stands out.

The Z35 is Acer's first curved gaming monitor with G-SYNC. At 35-inches it's definitely Ultrawide, with a 21:9 aspect ratio and a 2560x1080 resolution. And if you like your crazy fast refresh rates, Acer says you can overclock this monitor to achieve 200Hz. And we've got NVIDIA ULMB (Ultra Low Motion Blur) on board too, to keep that nasty motion blur at bay and keep your edges sharp.

The XB1 Series is made up of flat panel monitors, also with G-SYNC. The 27-inch version comes in either 2560x1440 (WQHD) or 3860x2160 (4K) resolutions with an edge-to-edge design minimizing bezels all round. And it looks all the better for it. As with the Z35, the XB1 series also has NVIDIA ULMB on board, and refresh rates here up to 144Hz.

Prices start at $1199 for the Z35 with availability in EMEA and North America coming in December. The XB1 series will start at $799, with availability in EMEA in October with North America following in November.

The Predator Z35 incorporates NVIDIA® ULMB™ (Ultra Low Motion Blur) technology , reducing motion blur by delivering sharp edges in fastpaced gaming environments.
