Activision could reveal a new game in its long-dormant Guitar Hero music rhythm game series for the Xbox and other platforms on Tuesday, April 14. At least, that's what a quick 15-second teaser video sent to some media outlets would seem to indicate.
The video, posted by VG247 and other gaming websites, is a first-person clip showing the frantic behind-the-scene events of a rock concert just before the band goes up on the stage. You get a roadie giving you what may or may not be a guitar, your fellow bandmates pushing you out to the stage and there's even a cute female groupie.
Activision's last game in the series, Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, was released in 2010 for the Xbox 360 and other platforms. If the publisher really is planning to launch a new entry in the series this year, it will join its biggest rival, Rock Band 4, from Guitar Hero's original developer Harmonix. That game was revealed in early March for a planned launch on the Xbox One and other platforms in 2015.
