Alaska Airlines launched its official Windows Phone app over a year ago, and now the app has been updated to version 1.2, which adds a new Preferred Plus seats upgrade option.
Here's how that new feature works:
"Now, on select flights, we're offering you a new special seating option. Preferred Plus seats are the very best that our main cabin offers. Starting at $15, with more legroom, easy seat access, and a free drink, these seats are a better value than anything you'll find at 35,000 feet.
"All you need to do is look for the option to upgrade when you check in. We'll show you when a Preferred Plus seat becomes available, then it's up to you to select it during check-in. These seats are complimentary for our elite-level Mileage Plan members."
In addition, the app also adds a way for passengers to add their Known Traveler or Redress number during check-in. The app also has some new colors, along with a new logo along with some unnamed bug fixes.
