Alcatel OneTouch announces its first Windows 10 Mobile powered tablet at CES 2016.

Yes, you read that correctly. Having hit the headlines recently for a rumored Windows 10 Mobile phone tie up with T-Mobile, as the tech train rolls into Las Vegas it's got a tablet to show off as well.

The Pixi 3 is its name and it's the first new tablet we've seen officially announced with Microsoft's mobile version of Windows.

Right now we don't know a whole lot about it. But, here's what we do know:

"The first ALCATEL ONETOUCH tablet with a Windows Mobile operating system, the entry-level PIXI 3 8-inch tablet features Windows 10 Mobile, optimized for tablets. It offers customization through Color Skins and Flip Stand covers. Other hot features: TV remote control, voice-call enablement, GPS, and front and rear cameras."

It's not going to be the last, either, or we hope not at least, but nevertheless it's pretty exciting to see an announcement so early in the new year. Alcatel's Pixi range is traditionally low and mid-range hardware, so don't expect anything too mindblowing, but it's one we're eager to get our hands on for sure.

For that, be sure to stay tuned to Windows Central for a hands-on tour and much more from CES 2016.
