Facebook Beta for Windows Phone has received another update for the month of December. You'll remember that earlier this month the app was updated with a new 'Top Stories' News Feed, a move initiated by Facebook that a lot of you weren't too happy about. Today's update to the app addresses a number of issues related to the News Feed.
Well isn't this nice. Microsoft is giving us all a digital fireplace to curl up next to this holiday season through the Bing homepage. It flickers just like the real thing. It's super easy to enable, too. Head on into the lower right hand corner of the page and look for the little circle icon. Click that and you'll find the fireplace symbol. Then grab a good book and a hot beverage.

Microsoft has just pushed out an update for the Remote Desktop Preview app on Windows Phone. This app launched in late April 2014 and allows you to to connect to a remote PC using your Windows Phone. Since that first release, we've seen a handful of updates to the app which have provided increased functionality. Today's update to Microsoft Remote Desktop Preview on Windows Phone is notable for allowing you to pin apps to the Start screen.
One of our favorite games on Windows Phone, Pako, has just received an update with three new levels for now a total of eight different locations: the Mall, Suburbia, Cemetery, Highway, Square, Oldtown, Desert Rally, and Arena. Microsoft has announced the first Games with Gold for 2015 for the Xbox One and Xbox 360. Xbox One owners can grab D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die, while Xbox 360 gamers will be offered MX vs. ATV Alive for the first half of January, with The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings is the free game for the second half of the month.
Over the weekend, Windows Phone fan Luke Rodriguez decided to take it upon himself to demonstrate some of the new Lumia Denim Camera improvements on his Nokia Lumia 930. For many of us, we are still waiting for the update for Lumia Denim to hit along with the new Camera app. However, for those who are lucky enough to have both a PureView Lumia and Denim proper, the wait appears to be worth it.
