Adventure Time is a comedic animated fantasy show that seems perfect for videogame adaptations. Last year, fan-favorite developer WayForward created an Xbox 360 game called Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I Don't Know! Despite the company's track record with quality licensed games, Explore the Dungeon didn't set the world on fire.

This year, WayForward and publisher Little Orbit are back with another entry for Xbox 360, PC, and other platforms that improves on its predecessor in every conceivable way. In fact, Adventure Time: The Secret of the Nameless Kingdom is the closest thing to a Zelda game that you can get on Xbox 360.

Adventure Time and Zelda fans, don't miss our latest Xbox developer interview with the game's producer, Ryan Rucinski of Little Orbit, complete with gameplay video!

Last week we published a guide on how to download and play Onigiri, the first massively multiplayer online game for Xbox One. But the Xbox One already has another free to play game that's similar to an MMO: Warframe. Warframe doesn't have true hubworlds like an MMO, but it's still quite a robust multiplayer game (in English).

Since we reviewed Warframe a few months ago, developer Digital Extremes has continued to update the game with new quests, characters, items, and refinements. The most recent major update added Archwings, which give players the ability to fly and participate in brand-new game types.

Perhaps less positively, I've also been running into some fairly insane looking graphical glitches in these last few weeks. Read on to see screens and videos of the glitches, plus details on Warframe's holiday celebration!

For British Xbox One owners, BBC iPlayer is one of the apps we've waited on the longest. Similar catch-up TV offerings from Channel 4 (4OD) and Channel 5 (Demand 5) have been available for a while, but the BBC app has been frustratingly absent. That recently changed and now we've got almost the full repertoire – ITV anyone? – and all the BBC TV shows we can shake our controllers at.

But while we're pleased to have it, it's by no means perfect. Read on to find out more.

Every weekend, Windows Central streams an Xbox One game or two on Twitch for 1-2 hours and gives out free games to the cool people who join us during the stream. Last week, we streamed Tales from the Borderlands and Game of Thrones and dished out a whopping 22 game codes to lucky viewers.

Tonight we're playing two more downloadable games: Sixty Second Shooter Prime from Happion Labs and Nutjitsu from NinjaBee. We want you guys there, chatting along. So we're giving out five Xbox One codes for each game (10 codes in all)!

Update: The stream has ended, but you can still check out the replay of both games - plus a quick bonus game of Onigiri (the first Xbox One MMO)!

ICYMI: December 13, 2014

A lot can happen in a week. New apps join the Windows Phone Store or Windows Store. Your favorite apps can get a big update with a new look or new features. Device rumors come and go. Seven days might not seem like much, but it can be an eternity in the tech news cycle. Every week we're going to compile the biggest stories into one post, so you never fall behind – In Case You Missed It (ICYMI).

We've noticed plenty of readers did not like the new update for Facebook Beta, which features a "Top Stories" newsfeed by default. We've heard your complaints, and it seems many of you like a more traditional "Most Recent" newsfeed. As Daniel explained, the change to "Top Stories" is a Facebook thing, not Microsoft's. If you don't like what's happening, you can try third party Facebook apps. A good example is JDB for Facebook, which has a default "Most Recent" view.

Microsoft recently reported that Windows Phone and Windows 8 games and apps generate 2.5 times more revenue during the holiday season. In that report, the big MS spoke to game makers Game Insight ( Cloud Raiders) and JoyBits (tons of crappy Doodle God games) about their experiences with the platform.

Game Insight in particular reported some impressive results, such as the fact that three of the company's titles: Cloud Raiders, Airport City, and Big Business Deluxe are in the top 10 best-selling games on the Windows Store. Game Insight titles have been installed more than ten million times across Windows Phone and Windows 8.

What's next for Game Insight? Windows Central is proud to exclusively announce that Game Insight will soon be releasing Transport Empire and Flower House (both free and with 512 MB RAM support) on mobile Windows platforms. Read on for more details!

Late last night, the Facebook Beta app for Windows Phone received a significant update. One of the biggest changes is in regards to your default news feed, which now shows 'Top Stories' instead of 'Most Recent'. To be sure, Most Recent is still there, you just need to go to the hamburger button (upper right) and select it. However, this change will not remain when you restart the app, so you have to do it each time.

Undeniably, many of you are not happy with this change, because you would rather not even see Top Stories. So why did Microsoft change the app?

Top Rated Windows Phone Action/Adventure Games

Windows Central Roundup: Top Rated Windows Phone Action/Adventure Games

Casual gaming on your Windows Phones has its merit. Word and puzzle games can have a laid back feel that can help you pass the time and exercise your brain. While there is a certain appeal to the slower paced games, we all need a little fast-paced action from time to time. Enter the Action/Adventure aisle of the Windows Phone Store.

For this week's roundup, we combed through the Action/Adventure section of the Windows Phone Store and pulled out five of the higher rated games from the Store's shelves. Some are more action packed than others but all should appeal to our need for strategy and action gaming. For added measure, I'll add a few personal favorites that you may want to try as well.

Today you can get a discount on Destiny or Call of Duty and a shirt from a Microsoft Store, but tomorrow? Tomorrow you can get an unlocked Nokia Lumia 635 for as low as $99. That's the door-buster deal in-person at a Microsoft Store, but if you can't make it at the start of the day or in person at all, it'll still be just $129, which is $50 off.

It looks like Indian carrier Idea has enabled carrier billing for Windows Phone, which allows customers to purchase digital content from the Windows Phone Store with their phone balance. Several users on our forums have already confirmed that the option is now working for them, and if you're an Idea customer, head on over to the payment options on your phone to check if it is available for you.

It may be a late Friday, but as Microsoft Joe Belfiore just noted, they are "squeaking one more in this week". That update would be for Facebook Beta, and this is more than just performance improvements (although those are there too). Much like the earlier OneDrive app update, this one brings some significant changes to the layout.

Tonight, version 8.3.4.1 is in the Store and with it comes a beefy changelog, including improvements to 'Top Stories' and 'Most Recent' newsfeeds, which are some of the bigger changes. Let's see what else is new.

Microsoft is showing how valuable the Windows platform is as it tells developers that it anticipates roughly $100 million of Windows Store gift cards will be available this holidays for use on Windows, Windows Phone, and Xbox digital content. The company says that during the holiday season, developers will also generate 2.5 times more revenue than during the rest of the year.

Facebook no longer shows Bing search results

Now, when users search Facebook, results from Microsoft's Bing search engine will no longer display alongside results from within the social network. Facebook has confirmed the change as it is revamping its own search to allow users to find content hosted by the social network.

Lenovo reportedly working on 11.6-inch Yoga 3 Pro

It looks like Lenovo may be working on a smaller model of the popular Yoga 3 Pro convertible laptop. After having launched a 13.3-inch model, Lenovo may be working on an 11.6-inch variant of the Yoga 3 Pro sporting an Intel Core M processor. Like the larger version available now, the smaller sibling is said to have the same hinge design, allowing the laptop to fold into different positions to fit your use best.
