Interestingly, some users are also getting notifications for a 9931 and 9932 OS update. While at first this seems like good news as it implies new features and fixes, truth be told the update is meant for internal Microsoft testing only but it had been accidentally exposed. As a result, those attempting to install the update are met with a failure to install due to not having the proper credentials.
If you were intrigued by our review of the WaterField Outback sleeve for the Surface Pro 3, you might be wondering what their other offerings are. Well, you're in luck, as the company just announced a whole slew of new sleeve cases for a number of recent laptop offerings such as the Dell XPS 13, ASUS Transformer Book Chi T300, and various Lenovo ThinkPads.
The Surface Pro 3 is arguably doing well. In fact, Microsoft posted $1.1 billion in revenue from their Surface line, which is a 24% increase over the previous quarter. Although that number by comparison is not staggering, it does demonstrate that the Surface, as a product line, has some interest.
Windows RT and the Surface 2, though, are not fairing so well. Microsoft today confirmed with Business Insider that the laptop-esque device is no longer being manufactured, although you can still pick one up from Microsoft Stores and retailers while supplies last.
Murmurings of such a cancellation started back in October when ZDNet's Mary Jo Foley reported that Microsoft was finished with ARM-based Surface tablets.

Back in December, we brought you the news that Sygic was poised to bring their GPS Navigation app to Windows Phone. For the last few weeks, it has been in an active private beta but today it is available to everyone, worldwide.
Sygic GPS Navigation was the first Nav app for the iPhone back in 2009 and today their app is powering 75 million users on Android and iOS. Now, Windows Phone users get access to Sygic's extensive mapping data (provided by TomTom), which excels in regions where others tend to fail, especially in Eastern Europe. Sygic also has an attractive speedometer app for Windows Phone that can be much fun.
I have been using Sygic GPS Navigation for a few weeks now, and it is something to try.
Latest AdDuplex numbers reflect Microsoft's gains from yesterday with the Lumia 535 becoming a hit
Yesterday, Microsoft released their FY2015 Q2 numbers demonstrating year-on-year and sequential growth for their Lumia smartphones. Although selling 10.5 million phones in one-quarter can be seen as a drop in the bucket when compared to Apple or Samsung, it is rather impressive. Microsoft posted gains during a time when the OS is in transition, and no new Lumia flagship was announced.
This morning, AdDuplex, who runs a very popular cross-promotion advertising network on Windows and Windows Phone, posted their latest stats about the ecosystem. Collected from 4,995 different apps (not users) the AdDuplex report paints what is considered the most accurate picture of the landscape.
The story is the same, in many ways, from previous reports: low cost and budget phones rule the roost for Windows Phone. This time, the Lumia 530 and Lumia 635 make significant strides globally while the Lumia 535 is taking off in India.

The program, called BADASS, gathered unencrypted data sent to the companies from mobile devices, including those running Windows Phone The data collected by these companies can give whoever is looking at it a lot of information about individual users.
