Microsoft has shared its Xbox Deals with Gold for the week, which sees Far Cry (and the gold version) listed with 30% off the original asking price on Xbox One for Europe. As is the case with each promotion the company runs, you need to have an active Xbox Live Gold membership subscription.

Microsoft has recently made a move to rebrand yet another Windows Phone app, Nokia Conference Beta. Now titled Join Conference Beta, the app acts and sings in the exact same way as the solution under Nokia, but now there's Microsoft branding slapped on top, with the potential for future updates with new features and improvements from Redmond. In fact, the company has already started to add new functionality, including Cortana integration.

Dixons Carphone, the owner of UK retailer Carphone Warehouse, has announced plans to launch a new mobile virtual network operator (MVNO). Partnering with Three, which may soon merge with O2 should purchase talks between Hutchison Whampoa and Telefonica go head, Dixons itself will offer branded tariffs alongside contracts from major mobile operators in the UK.

Tweetium is a popular, highly-rated Twitter app for Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8.1, and the phone version of the app has today been bumped to version 3.2.3. Version 3.2 hit the store overnight, but due to bugs being spotted in the recent release, the developer rolled out a further three updates to sort everything out – talk about rapid updates.

Microsoft has rolled out an Intel graphics driver update for one of our favorite laptops, the Surface Pro 3, running Windows 10. The update affects the Intel graphics component installed on the tablet and is a bug fixing patch, meaning any related issues previously encountered with Windows 10 on the Surface Pro 3 should be eliminated post-updating.

Sky partners with O2 to enter the UK mobile market

Sky has today announced plans to launch a new mobile service in 2016, partnering up with O2 for the mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) venture. The deal will enable Sky to offer 2G, 3G and 4G services to its customer base, placing the company in a strengthened position against rivals.

Microsoft has finally brought the Xbox OneGuide and digital TV tuner to Australia, which will soon enable consumers in the region to take advantage of not only the latest games, but also favorite TV shows on the Xbox One. The OneGuide is available as of today in preview form, meaning that only those in the Xbox One Preview program will be able to use the feature for the time being.

Tesco has already sold its Blinkbox Movies and broadband services to UK operator TalkTalk, and now the supermarket chain has finally washed its hands of both the book and music streaming services. An official announcement was made on the Blinkbox website today, confirming that Guvera has made the purchase for the music streaming platform, swooping in to save current subscribers in a bid to keep Blinkbox music afloat.

Microsoft's Windows Program Manager Gabriel Aul took to Twitter today, to not only reveal some numbers on the Insider program, but also to remind those running the Windows 10 Tech Preview that they require a certain update before moving forward. Update KB3025380 (linked below) is strongly advised to be installed before Microsoft rolls out the next build of the preview.
