Every weekend, Windows Central streams an Xbox One game or two on Twitch for 1-2 hours and gives out free games to the cool people who join us during the stream. It's like a live podcast, only you also get to watch a game while chatting with our awesome readers and viewers!
Tonight we played Beach Buggy Racing from Vector Unit. Beach Buggy Racing is the only Mario Kart-style racer on Xbox One, with lots of explosive weapons, vehicles, and tracks to make races exciting. We also gave out a bunch of prizes. Read on for quick impressions, contest winners, and the full video replay!
Beach Buggy Racing
Beach Buggy Racing is the latest racing game from Vector Unit, makers of Riptide GP2 and Hydro Thunder Hurricane. This one leaves the water behind for races on sand, streets, and even ice. It's the closest thing you'll find to Mario Kart on Xbox One.
In single-player, players will compete in an expansive campaign consisting of nine cups with six races each. You'll choose from eight different vehicles all with upgradable stats and customizable paint jobs. You can even unlock ten different drivers to man those sweet rides.
Beach Buggy Racing offers 15 exotic tracks to race through, and a whopping 20 power-ups with which to attack or defend against your fellow racers. In addition to the campaign, players can engage in Daily Challenge races or split-screen races for up to 6 players. And the split-screen actually has a few options this time, an improvement over Riptide GP2.
December is a cold month, so be sure to warm your blood by watching us race across the beach in Beach Buggy Racing!

The After Party

- Tonight's after-party game is Just Cause 3 for Xbox One.
Please join us for the main stream and then stick around for the after party.
We streamed Beach Buggy Racing for 60-90 minutes and Just Cause 3 for ~30 minutes tonight, starting at 8pm Central (9pm Eastern, 6pm Pacific, 2am GMT). During that time, we gave out a total of 15 game codes:

How to watch Twitch livestreams
What's the best way to experience Twitch? The Twitch website on your PC or Mac web browser. If you don't have or prefer not to use a computer, you can get the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, or Xbox 360 Twitch apps and watch from the comfort of your couch. Android and iOS both have official and unofficial Twitch apps to choose from as well.
On Windows Phone, you'll have to grab an unofficial app. There are several to choose from, each with different strengths and weaknesses. Only one app lets you search directly for our channel, though. If you use the others you'll have to find and follow us from a web browser first. Read the roundup to learn more!
Want to know what's next for Windows Central's Twitch programming? We stream a different game every Saturday. The stream always starts at the same time: 8pm Central (9pm Eastern, 6pm Pacific, 2am GMT). Here are our planned streams for the rest of December:
- Saturday, December 19: The Stream Team Christmas Party! Play some Jackbox Party Pack 2, eat, drink, and be merry, and stick around for presents for stream regulars and newcomers alike!
- Saturday, December 26: Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate. Win this retail game from Koei Tecmo that earned a spot on Paul's Best Games of 2014 list!
We hope you'll tune in as often as you can! Set a recurring alarm on your phone so you'll always know when it's time for the stream to start.
These folks are due for some fun in the sun, and they're gonna have a ton!
Tonight's prizes provided by Vector Unit. Thanks also to our Twitch stream moderators for keeping the peace and giving away the prizes!
