Best Buy for Windows Phone updated, addresses authentication errors

Best Buy for Windows Phone

The last time Best Buy updated their app for Windows Phone was at the tail end of June. That update brought a new user interface and voice integration to the app, an app that previously had not seen an update for quite some time. The latest update fixes an issue some users were having.

If you check out review in the Store for the Best Buy app you’ll notice a handful of people reportedly seeing “HTTPS authentication failed” messages when trying to use it. Thankfully, the update to version 1.0.0.11 seems to address the authentication error folks received. We don’t see anything else different, if you catch something let us know.

Now go get your shop on.

Best Buy for Windows Phone 8 is free. Grab in the Windows Phone Store, use the QR code below, or swipe to the right in our app.

For some odd reason, even though I KNEW you were talking about the Best buy app, my pulse rose for a second bec I was thinking of gdr2, update, att 920.

Login fails repeatedly. Verified my login information on computer, but the app wont accept my username/pass

I want a Best Buy Reward Zone app damnit!!!...Loved having one on Android and it could look soooo much nicer on WP8 if done right.

Definitely.  Though they can't seem to get the login working.  I still can't login even with the update so I'm not holding my breath.

I thought it was just me not being able to log in.  Unfortunately I still can't login even with the 1.0.0.11 version.  I've verified my username and password through a browser.  Something is still not right.

Mine is actually working now after the update.  The problem was my firewall not the app.  When I bypass the firewall it works now.  They need to tie in the Rewards Zone stuff now.
