BLU Products is a US-based smartphone manufactuerer that was founded in 2009. Based in the Miami, Florida area, BLU was founded by a Brazilian entrepreneur Samuel Ohev-Zion. With a large part of its focus being on affordable smartphones in up-and-coming areas, BLU has both Android and Windows Phone smartphones in its line up. To date, the company has sold more than 30 million phones in 40 different countries.

Major areas of success for BLU have been Central America, where the company is responsible for around 50 percent of devices that are present at point of sale, along with other areas like Trinidad and Tobago. BLU's move to Windows Phone was a more recent move, as the products were first shown off at Computex in 2014. In 2015, the company launched two new Windows Phones, the Win HD LTE and Win Jr. LTE which are heading to India and Europe.

BLU currently sells its smartphones directly through the Microsoft Store, as well as on Amazon. When Windows 10 Mobile is released, BLU will be updating some of its phones to the new OS as well. The smartphones come unlocked, and have a price tag that is appealing to many.
