Borderlands2Sounds, for the Vault Hunter in all of us

Confession. I'm addicted to Borderlands 2. I've found the Xbox game to be an entertaining way to unwind after a long day and it can be rather addictive.

I was a little surprised to find that there weren't many Borderlands 2 apps for our Windows Phone. Something along the lines of what we have seen with Skyrim or Halo Waypoint. There is one app though, that has potential, Borderlands2Sounds for our Windows Phone 8 devices.  The app has potential but needs a little more meat on the bone.  That and spaces between the words of the app title.

Borderlands2Sounds isn't an almanac or game walkthrough but rather a collection of sounds bites from the game's characters. Presently there are only four characters highlighted in Borderlands2Sounds. Claptrap, Handsome Jack, Mr. Torgue and one of my favorites, Tiny Tina.

Each character has about half a dozen or so sound bites that launch by tapping the character's image.  The developer does note that additional characters and sounds will be added and while Borderlands2Sounds is a nice little app, it has plenty of room for improvement.

The collection of sound bites is decent but the sounds can't be saved locally to be used as ringtones. Same issue with the character images... well maybe not saved as ringtones but maybe for wallpapers?

Borderlands2Sounds has a lot of potential and hopefully the developer can build upon the foundation they have created. Borderlands2Sounds is a free app for your Windows Phone 8 device that you can find here in the Windows Phone Store.
