After nearly a year of waiting, it looks like Viber may be getting close to launching its long-awaited UWP Windows 10 app. Invites are currently being sent to a select number of people to participate in a closed beta test of the app.

Microsoft and Viber first revealed that a Windows 10 version of the popular messaging and VoIP app in late April 2015 as part of Microsoft's Build conference. Since then, there's been little news on its development. Now we have received tips from a number of readers that the Viber closed beta group is sending out forms to sign up for testing the app.

Hopefully, this move means that the app is close to completion and that Viber is just looking for some outside testers to try it out and find any bugs that might have slipped through the company's internal testing.

Thanks to everyone for the tips!
