Nokia works with Indian mobile operators to provide free data for Lumia owners

Nokia Lumia India

Nokia has a rather sweet deal currently going on in India. Should you be looking to get involved with a brand new Windows Phone or would like to check out the manufacturer's Asha series of mobile devices, you'll be able to take full advantage of free data. Pairing with numerous mobile operators, including Vodafone and Airtel, there's an enticing offer whether you're after a Lumia 520 or Lumia 925.

Be sure to head on over to the Nokia website and choose the Windows Phone (or other Nokia device) you're after for more details on what offers are available and when the offer period expires. 2G and 3G connectivity are both supported with unique offers. Get in touch with your local branch for further details on how to get on the deal train.

Indeed, you'd have to be foolish to not even try it. Sadly, with data rates as exspensive as they are in the US, Nokia would go bankrupt from such an offer.

These deals are there since the beginning months of this year. Got myself a new SIM exclusively for my lumia and it stayed there since. It seems this sweet tactics of enhancing subscriber base is really working for the service providers.

Got this offer with my 720 but didn't know how to avail it. Also it required me to change my service provider. I get 1GB 3G on my current one for about ₹30 (50 cents) so didn't bother much.

They do have the same since old Nokia days. Even with WPs, they have such offers since 710 /800 launch in India.

This is perfect! I know in Lebanon, Blackberry is so huge because everybody gets free internet with one. Nokia should expand this to more markets because it is a big deal! It probably won't happen somewhere like the US or the UK, but maybe in the Middle East/Latin America/Asia.

Smart move, Nokia!

I don't suppose this works out here. Most of the folks here order phones from people in the Middle east to bring in India due to the comparitively high price on phones in India and specially the LUMIA lines. I personally bought my Lumia phone from Saudi Arabia.

This is why Nokia is dominating the WIndows Phone landscape. They are wheeling and dealing just to differentiate themselves from other OEMs.

i never get any offers when i bought L620,
so we have to buy new lumia to get the offer or can i still get that with this present phone?
