AT&T Amazon

We've recently covered the Lumia 1020 launching in the UK and Europe, but have also looked at the Windows Phone in the past. If you haven't already done so, we recommend you read through our full, in-depth review of the device. Amazon previously had the Lumia 1020 on sale for $199 for one day only, but it's good to see the retailer knocking the price down further.

Head on over to Amazon for more information and to check out the deals. Pricing depends on which plan you go for. AT&T currently has the Lumia 1020 listed for $199.

Deal Alert: Amazon selling the AT&T Nokia Lumia 1020 on contract from $149

I paid $300 and it is worth every penny. I believe in spending Now then later. There is no point in waiting 6 months to find out the specs are now outdated. Also, recently due to a life/death situation, money no more has the value in my mind that it once did.

There are two good things about waiting: the price drops and updates make the device more stable when you finally do get it. The 1020's only problem I'm aware of is the slow time in between shots and choppy video zoom (not to mention WP8 OS shortcomings). I don't know if these things can be fixed by software, but I hope so!

Using Nokia's camera is an option. You can choose to use the in-built or any other camera apps for video. The way I look at it; at least I can zoom during a video.

It's been $199 on Amazon since AT&T lowered their price a while back (not 1 day like this article incorrectly states)

Its always so hard to pull the trigger when you know other phones are coming soon (1520, Blue phones). I guess that's the issue with such a frequent release cycle (unlike apple)

Coming from a 920. Should i get this 1020 or 925? In lust with the 925 design and thinness but dat camera doe... If that 1520 was coming out now wouldnt be a question.

The Lumia 925 also lacks wireless charging built into the phone as well. It does not really add much to the Lumia 920 beyond an extra lens, which does improve quality some, but the Lumia 1020 improves quality dramatically.

As someone that made the switch from the Lumia 920 to a Lumia 1020, I cannot be any happier. My battery life is modestly improved, and the phone is noticeably thinner and lighter than the Lumia 920, even with the wireless charging shell. But most importantly, the camera is amazing.

The quality of the pictures on the 1020 are simply not comparable to any other phone on the market because it blows everything away: day or night. The Lumia 920 and Lumia 925 both take amazing pictures, particularly at night, but the Lumia 1020 is head-and-shoulders above them.

I would recommend also getting the camera grip with the 1020. If it had wireless charging built into it, then I would leave it on for everyday use. Unfortunately it does not support it, but it makes the phone incredibly easy to use for both regular use and, of course, pictures. Plus it adds an extra 50% to the battery.

I seriously just bought this phone two days ago for $199. However, I did get it form the Microsoft Store, so I got the camera grip for free, so I guess I made out better in the end anyway.

Will there ever be an off contract deal? I would buy one for $500... But already on contract w att.

Price dropping like a stone. This could only mean one thng, something HUGE is right around the corner.  Woot!  Surface Phone perhaps?

I got to play with a 1020 today and it felt amazing. I can't wait to get my own. I wonder if off-contract prices gets drops like these?

Been loving my 1020 since release date but might be my last Day One purchase when waiting 45 days would save me half...not regretting it tho; this, however, is a great deal!

Price dropping like crazy suggests something else...it's not selling that well. Have yet to see one in the flesh.
