We reported on rumors last week that Microsoft may include Chrome extension support in Spartan, and it seems that extensions are definitely in the works for Microsoft's new Windows 10 browser — albeit without explicit mention of the "Chrome" part.
The news was originally reported by Neowin's Brad Sams, who received the following response about extensions from the IE Dev Chat Twitter account:
"Yes. We're working on a plan for extensions for a future update to Project Spartan."
The response doesn't make any mention of compatibility with Chrome extensions, so that may still be on the table. In any case, this is great news for Microsoft's new browser, as users have grown quite accustomed to using extensions to spice up their web browsing experience.
