Fitbit Surge now syncs with Windows Phone with latest firmware update!

Fitbit is on a roll this holiday season as update after update keeps coming out. This list is in addition to new devices like the Charge and – in super limited supply – their Surge 'super watch'.

Tonight, version 9.2 of the firmware for the Surge has trickled out, and we can confirm that the activity tracker now syncs directly with Windows Phone 8.1 devices. The update requires version 1.5 of the Windows Phone app along with an updated Surge.

Microsoft to file lawsuit against tech support scammers to protect consumers

Microsoft's Digital Crimes Unit has announced that it will be filing a lawsuit in federal court in California against tech support scammers, a practice that the company says has cost consumers money for unnecessary repairs and security services. In its suit against Omnitech Support, Microsoft alleges that the firm uses Microsoft's marks to appear like a credible tech support service in an effort to mislead consumers.

Lumia 1520 in Finland nabs Lumia Denim update

If you are Finland and own a Lumia 1520, you are one of the lucky few to get officially the new Lumia Denim OS and firmware update.

Heading to the Microsoft support page, Finland's Lumia 1520 'country variant' is marked as eligible for the Lumia Denim update (firmware 02540.00019.14484.37004). In checking other regions and countries, Finland appears to be the only one with a Lumia 1520 and Denim.
