Windows Phone users can now upload videos to Instagram with this new app (Update)

Although 6tag is the de facto Instagram app for those using Windows Phone due to its advanced and unique features, one thing it cannot do is upload pre-recorded video. Instead, users need to open the app and record directly. This limitation is problematic if you recorded a video earlier and wanted to add it to Instagram at a later date, or perhaps did not have free internet connectivity for the upload.

Today, we are excited to announce a new third-party app dedicated to this single task. It is appropriately called 'Video Upload to Instagram' and Venetasoft makes it. If that name sounds familiar, it is because they also publish the excellent Band Sensor Monitor, Find My Band, and the excellent Movie Maker 8.1.

Microsoft has released an update for the Xbox App in Windows 10 today, bringing a massive list of new features along for the ride.

Today's update allows those using the Xbox app preview on Windows 10 to record and share clips from PC games, access new live tiles for new messages and activity alerts, and use real name sharing with their friends.

Microsoft's Xbox revenues took a hit in the last quarter, going down 24%

Update: Microsoft's shareholder form it sends to the SEC shows that it sold 1.6 million Xbox consoles in the last quarter, compared to 2 million from the same period a year before. It also stated it sold 10.7 million Xbox consoles during the first nine months of its 2015 fiscal year, compared with 10.6 million consoles during the first nine months of its 2014 fiscal year.

Original story: Revenues from Microsoft's Xbox division were down 24% in its 2015 fiscal third quarter, compared to the same period a year ago. The company didn't disclose much else about its Xbox business as part of its financial results today.
