Slender the Arrival review: A short and terrifying game for Xbox One, 360, and Windows

35

Slender Man (or Slendy, as his friends call him) was created by a forum poster in 2009, according to Wikipedia. A blurry, faceless man added to old photographs, the character soon caught the imagination of online horror fans of all ages. YouTube videos and several indie games followed, most notably a free downloadable title called Slender: The Eight Pages.

That game would serve as the inspiration for its much larger sequel Slender: The Arrival from Canadian developer Blue Isle Studios. This one casts players as several severely screwed people who are being stalked by the sinister Slender Man and his minions. Slender: The Arrival has just arrived on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, after launching on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Windows in 2013 and 2014.

Slender might just be the scariest game I've played. Read on for more details and to witness me freaking out in our exciting hands-on video!

Bubble Pirates for Windows Phone game - bursting bubbles on the high seas

17

If you are in search of an enjoyable Windows Phone game to pass the time with, take a gander at Bubble Pirates. It is a bubble burst styled game that doesn't really follow the traditional layout of such games. It does follow the match-three rules for bursting bubbles but each of the 100 plus levels includes a challenge that has to be met before you can advance to the next level.

Available for low-memory Windows Phones, Bubble Pirates also includes Boss fights with its multiple gaming modes. Graphics are nice, game play challenging and overall we can see why Bubble Pirates is among the top New and Rising Windows Phone games.

HP Stream 7 Signature Edition unboxing video

140

I just got a Windows 8.1 tablet for $10. I'm talking about the HP Stream 7. The Microsoft Store is currently selling it for $79, but it comes with a free Office 365 subscription, which is worth $69. Since I got it from the Microsoft Store, the HP Stream 7 is also sold as Signature Edition. This means no junkware or trialware out of the box. What else is included with the sales packaging? Watch our unboxing to find out.
