Everything you need to know about ID@Xbox

ID@Xbox is a Microsoft program which allows independent developers to publish Xbox certified titles to Xbox One and the Windows 10 unified app store.

The program was announced in August 2013, and already boasts well over 200 independent development teams across the world. Indie devs who become approved for the program receive up to 2 Xbox One development kits, access to the full technical documentation and direct support from Microsoft. In addition to free hardware, all ID@Xbox developers get free access to Unity Pro – a popular video game engine which allows for easy porting to different platforms.

Glozzle - a mind blowing 3D puzzle game for Windows and Windows Phone

If you are tired of the run of the mill puzzle games, take a gander at the Windows Phone game Glozzle. What sets this puzzle game apart from the field is that it is presented in 3D fashion with pieces floating around as if the puzzle exploded. You spin the elements around in multiple directions so they line up just right, solving the puzzle. It may surprise you what the scattered puzzle pieces will transform into.

Available for low-memory Windows Phones and Windows 8 devices, Glozzle makes a nice first impression and with over 3,000 level the game has plenty of staying power. We took the Windows Phone version out for a test drive and while many may be over saturated with puzzle games, Glozzle is unique enough that it should spark some interest.

Final thoughts on the Eve T1 Windows 8.1 tablet

Some additional thoughts on the Eve T1 tablet after living with it for a few weeks.

A few weeks ago I took a first look at a new Windows 8.1 tablet from Eve, the T1. Clocking in just under 150 Euros it's not the most expensive tablet you'll find, but it's firmly inside an ever increasingly crowded space. There are now so many low cost Windows tablets out there that standing out is a big ask.

Does the Eve T1 do that? Initially I was quite impressed with it, but what about after a few weeks of use?

We've been playing with it for the past few days and it feels a lot like the Windows Phone app. You can use it to watch Youtube videos, download videos to your machine, and cast video to DLNA devices such as a smart TV or the Xbox One.
