Win one of three tickets to Microsoft Future Decoded and AppsWorld (UK only)

70

Microsoft's upcoming Future Decoded event will take place in November, which will be held alongside AppsWorld. You may recall we gave away 5 tickets to the event, but fear not if you weren't lucky enough. We've teamed up with Microsoft to give three two-day tickets away (worth £1,000 each) to those who have the desire to attend both App World and Future Decoded, but don't have the funds to do so.

Poll – Do you like the new OneDrive design for Windows Phone?

310

Late last night, a rather significant update went out for the OneDrive app for Windows Phone. With the app refresh came some highly requested features like support for OneDrive for Business. However, there was also a rather large UI change too, stirring some controversy amongst loyal Windows Phone fans.

Changes in app design are always a mixed bag. UI design is an art and like art, there are champions and critics for choices and layout. Some are rational others are pragmatic, and many are just subjective opinions.

Here is the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare limited edition controller for Xbox One

24

Microsoft has certainly been known to throw out some hot looking, official controllers for the Xbox One, and now they're back with another. Following on from the Titanfall limited edition earlier this year is this, the brand spanking new, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare limited edition. The game might still be a week out, but the controller is available right now.

And it's a scorcher.

Alright, you don't need a new controller to play Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare – or any Xbox One game, for that matter. And since it costs an extra $10 or so over a standard, run of the mill, black controller, what do you actually get? Well, two things. A paint job and some in-game content.

Review: Nokia Lumia 530

Is the Lumia 530 the best Windows Phone you can buy on a budget? Let's find out.

The Lumia 520 is the best-selling Windows Phone of all time. Announced during Mobile World Congress 2013 by Nokia, as of a few months ago the Lumia 520 has over 12 million activations. The Lumia 520 represented tremendous value when it launched, and it is still the most popular Windows Phone in the majority of markets. This reason is why its successor, the Lumia 530, has a high bar to reach.

At launch, you'll find the Lumia 530 for well under $100 in the United States and in Europe for about €85. This price-point makes it the cheapest Lumia to date and one of the most affordable Windows Phones in general. However, in 2014, does the Lumia 530 live up to the Lumia 520?

Lightomania delivers a fun puzzle game to the Windows Phone gaming library

8

Lightomania is a lively Windows Phone puzzle game that has you bouncing and shooting fuzzy little creatures where they can gobble up a hanging light. You'll bounce the fuzzy creatures off each other and navigate around an assortment of obstacles and dangers to get to the light bulb.

Available for low-memory devices, Lightomania is full of colorful animations and challenging puzzles to conquer. The game has seen a fair amount of success on other platforms and in playing Lightomania over the past few days; I can see that success carrying over to the Windows Phone version.
