Lumia 435 now available from Microsoft Ireland

Following launches at other retailers and it's British counterpart, Microsoft has put the Lumia 435 up for sale from its Irish online store now for €79. That's a little higher than we've seen the phone for sale in other countries since launch, though Irish buyers have been limited on opportunities thus far with some pretty outrageous pricing to boot.

While the Microsoft Band is still somewhat limited in availability, the number of Windows Phone apps with support for the Band is growing at a decent pace. Sure, most are customization apps but being able to have the Band fit your personality and style is not a bad thing.

Xbox One April update preview brings party chat improvements, game hub links, more

Microsoft's Larry Hryb (otherwise known as Major Nelson) has just announced the rollout of a new update preview for the Xbox One.

Unlike previous preview releases, the April update preview will be released in two stages, with the first rolling out today. Each wave will add new features, with today's update bringing some improvements to party chat, the game hub, and achievement notifications.

Pin.it is a third party Pinterest (pinterest.com) app for Windows Phone we've covered earlier last year. We loved it then and we love it even more now. Chris Zorn, the developer of Pin.it, has redesigned the app from scratch for Windows Phone 8.1 devices with the intent of making it universal Windows app. He also has added a bunch of new features.

Dell UK now offering an entry level XPS 13 at £799

We're big fans of Dell's latest XPS 13 round these parts, but one issue there has been outside of the U.S. is availability of the full range. In the UK, for example, the only models to go on sale initially were the range topping, Intel Core i7 models. Fortunately that's improved since and now British buyers can spend substantially less and get one from £799.

MetroPCS to launch Microsoft Lumia 640 'mid to late May', priced at $99

The Lumia 640 was only announced by Microsoft a few weeks ago, but many people are eagerly awaiting its release, slated for 'April'.

MetroPCS is evidently primed for the sale of the entry-level Lumia in 'mid to late May'. The date is slightly later than open market availability although it is not too far pushed back.

Cost of the device is looking to be $99 likely off-contract, although final pricing is not locked in 100% just yet. MetroPCS's version will support LTE although it is not clear if it will be dual SIM.
