Developer Bungie and publisher Activision have now confirmed that Destiny: House of Wolves, the second expansion pack for the hit sci-fi first person shooter, will be released on May 19 for the Xbox One and Xbox 360, along with the PlayStation 3 and 4 consoles.

Bungie's first trailer for the expansion offers up some back story for House of Wolves, in a rather cold setting. Here's the developer's quick summary of the expansion.

"Expand your Destiny adventure with a wealth of weapons, armor, and gear to earn in new story missions, three new competitive multiplayer maps, and a new cooperative Strike. Expansion II introduces a new competitive elimination mode in the Crucible and an all-new arena activity – The Prison of Elders. The Reef is open. Join the Awoken and hunt down the Fallen rising against us.

Destiny first launched in September 2014 and its first expansion pack, The Dark Below, followed in December. The House of Wolves will be priced at $19.99 or you can get it as part of the Destiny Season Pass for $34.99. Bungie and Activision will also launch what they have called a "major content release" for Destiny sometime this fall.
