Bungie proved in 2014 they could make good games outside the Halo series with the launch of Destiny. Now the developer, and publisher Activision, will offer a huge expansion pack for that game, The Taken King, which will be released on September 15 for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 consoles.
Here's a quick description of the expansion:
"Destiny: The Taken King, the next great adventure in the first person shooter Destiny universe, introduces a new story campaign and quests, new enemies to fight, new locations to explore, new Strikes and Crucible maps, a new Raid that will put players to the ultimate test, and more. To stand up to the challenge, players will have access to three new devastating Guardian subclasses, and a massive arsenal of weapons, armor, and gear."
The Taken King will be released as a digital download for $39.99 for people who already own Destiny. Bungie and Activision will also release The Taken King: Legendary Edition on the same day for $59.99 which will contain the original Destiny game, the two previously released downloadable expansions and The Taken King.
