'Member Kinect? I do. And so does Virtual Air Guitar!

Just in time for the holidays, Kinect studio extraordinaire Virtual Air Guitar have released Boom Ball 2 for Kinect, complete with 2-player local co-op.

Boom Ball 2 is a light-hearted party game ideal for families and casual fun. In Boom Ball 2, you use your hands to smash balls against different structures comprised of blocks, racking up stars for completing each of the game's 50 levels based on your speed.

"Boom Ball 2 is a light-hearted, full-body Kinect game about bouncing balls, breaking bricks and blowing stuff up. Smash cubes using ping-pong skills in 50 brand-new levels! Featuring: cute cubes, big bonuses, and manic multiball mayhem. New addition: two-player co-op mode! Get your friends and family to join in on the fun!Go ballistic with Boom Ball!"

Successive bouts of destruction charge up a power bar, which eventually gives you access to explosive fireballs that allow you to destroy even more blocks. The gameplay looks fun for younger audiences, or even older gamers who want a change of pace.

Virtual Air Guitar produce an array of solid Kinect games, including Squid Hero and Beatsplosion. Their next Kinect title, Air Guitar Warrior looks as though it could be a little more action-oriented, featuring a guitar that is also a sword and even boss battles.

Kinect may not see the support it once did, but Virtual Air Guitar continue to make the case for the accessory. Hopefully we'll see more of Kinect goodness in 2017.
