EE launches delayed SIM-only UK LTE plans

EE, the only UK carrier to launch 4G LTE services thus far, has unleashed its SIM-only plans. Pricing starts at £21 a month with a 500MB data allowance, and tops at £36 for a 5GB upgrade to further increase the capabilities of the 4G speeds. So are these prices any better than what's already available at the carrier?

SIM-only plans with EE are available as 12-month contracts, and each plan includes unlimited calls and texts (much like the more expensive phone-inclusive options available). Unfortunately, you'll be required to pick up a 4G capable handset, but at least it's an ption for those who may have already made the purchase with an unlocked HTC 8X or Lumia 920.

We covered EE's SIM-only plans when the network was officially launched earlier this year. The company has since experienced issues with launching its cheaper plans due to apparent network testing requirements. It'll be interesting to see how consumers respond to the new plans, especially with the negative reception EE has experienced so far.
