Now that it has successfully crowd-developed its new Windows 10 2-in-1 tablet, Eve has announced it will take on crowdfunding next. Eve's new 2-in-1 tablet, which now carries the name Eve V (previously codenamed "Pyramid Flipper") will hit Indiegogo on November 21, the company has announced. From there, those in the Eve community who helped to choose the device's specs and look will finally get a chance to purchase one for themselves.
According to Eve, the initial Indigogo run will cover 500 units. At the moment, the price of the 2-in-1 remains a mystery, but Eve says that the cost, along with the final product will be shown off when the Indiegogo officially launches. And while the final list of specs isn't yet available, Eve has confirmed the following on its website:
- CPU: 7th Gen Intel Core M / Core i - Y-Series
- RAM: 8/16 GB
- SSD: 128/256/512 GB
- Screen: ~12" (more details TBA)
- Pen: N-Trig (Windows Ink compatible)
- Keyboard: Wireless-Mode (More TBA)
- Battery: 10h for daily use (Exact size TBA)
Aside from its crowdfunding efforts, Eve says that it has also received some notable backing from Intel, who has invested a "six-figure sum" in the company.
It should be interesting to see what comes of Eve's crowd-centric campaign (it certainly has been fun to watch through development). If you're eager for more information ahead of the November 21 Indiegogo launch, Eve notes that more about the 2-in-1 Eve V tablet will be revealed in the weeks ahead.
