Update: A Microsoft spokesperson has now told us the Xbox video had an incorrect launch date for Fable Legends, stating, "We look forward to opening the world of 'Fable Legends' to players this holiday, but don't have anything more to share on specific release timing. The date listed in the San Diego Comic-Con Xbox recap video was incorrect and we apologize for any confusion."
Original story: Lionhead's long-awaited multiplayer fantasy action-RPG Fable Legends will officially launch for the Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs on October 13. The date was confirmed by Microsoft in an Xbox YouTube video that was mainly created as a wrap-up of its activities at last week's San Diego Comic-Con.
Fable Legends has been designed as a game where gamers can take on the roles of either the good guys battling the forces of evil in a four person team, or as the villain who goes up against those four heroes. Microsoft says that there will be cross platform multiplayer for both the Xbox One and Windows 10 versions, and that the Windows 10 port will also support DirectX 12 for its graphics.
