Every weekend, Windows Central streams an Xbox One game or two on Twitch for 1-2 hours and gives out free games to the cool people who join us during the stream. It's like a live podcast, only you also get to watch a game while chatting with our awesome readers and viewers!
Tonight we played The Fall from Over the Moon games, one of our Xbox One Games of the Year of 2015. Even better, two of the developers joined us on mic and camera as we played! Read on for quick impressions, contest winners, and one of our best Let's Play videos yet.

The Fall starts out with a bang, with a protective suit-clad person hurtling through space. As the suit plummets towards a lone planet's surface, its artificial intelligence (known as ARID) kicks in and prevents the suit and its wearer from being destroyed.
Unlike so many other games, you don't play as the person inside the suit here. Instead, players control the female-voiced ARID. Her job is to protect the unconscious wearer, and so she immediately seeks out a medical facility within the planet's ruined industrial complex. But it soon becomes clear that ARID and her passenger are not alone. Another suit wearer has been crucified on a communications pole, and a mysterious figure stalks our protagonists from afar.
Metroidvania-style platformers traditionally feature expansive maps with areas the player can't reach until finding upgrades later in the game. The Fall cleverly incorporates these mechanics with ARID's status as an AI. She can't access the suit's full suite of abilities until life-threatening situations arise that require them.
Gameplay consists of running, jumping, and climbing ledges as you search for clues as to what happened inside the facility and a way to save the suit pilot. ARID will also acquire a gun that helps not only in combat, but also in your search for parts and items. Aiming the gun's flashlight allows you to highlight and interact with the environment, a clever integration of traditional point-and-click mechanics.
With a uniquely dark setting, a story filled with mystery, and challenging puzzle-filled gameplay, The Fall is one sci-fi adventure you shouldn't miss. Watch us play it with John Warner and Danielle Lovell of Over the Moon Games for special insights into The Fall and its upcoming sequel!
We streamed The Fall for 90 minutes tonight. During that time, we gave out a total of 20 game codes:
- 10 for Xbox One
- 5 for PlayStation 4 (North American accounts only)
- 5 for Steam

How to watch Twitch livestreams
What's the best way to experience Twitch? The Twitch website on your PC or Mac web browser. If you don't have or prefer not to use a computer, you can get the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, or Xbox 360 Twitch apps and watch from the comfort of your couch. Android and iOS both have official and unofficial Twitch apps to choose from as well.
On Windows Phone, you'll have to grab an unofficial app. There are several to choose from, each with different strengths and weaknesses. Only one app lets you search directly for our channel, though. If you use the others you'll have to find and follow us from a web browser first. Read the roundup to learn more!
