Filmwave for Windows Phone and Windows 8, helping you find the right movie

Filmwave

Stumped on which movie to see tonight? Filmwave is a relatively new Windows Phone app that might help you out.

Filmwave is a free app for both Windows Phone 7.x and 8 devices as well as Windows 8. The app delivers information on the latest releases and upcoming releases including film trailers, synopsis, theater locations, and more.

Filmwave Main Pages

The main pages of Filmwave cover featured movies, coming soon titles and a theater listing based on your current location. Theater listings includes a listing and times for the current movie line-up, directions to the theater and a call button to contact the theater.

Drilling down to the individual movie titles you can view an overview of the movie, a cast/crew listing, and Filmwave user reviews. Down below are four button controls that allow you to share the movie title, pin the movie title to your Start Screen, view the movie trailer, and view the movie's Twitter feed.

Filmwave Movie Information

In just using Filmwave for a short bit, it comes across as a nice movie app for our Windows Phone. While nice, there is room for improvement. The theater listing seems limited in that only three theaters in my area were displayed and even then, the closest cinema wasn't listed.

The other observation, that may not be possible, is that while you can view show times and get the particulars on the theater you can't order tickets. That would be a nice addition to Filmwave and give it a little more gusto.

As is, Filmwave is a respectable Windows Phone app. Again, Filmwave is a free, ad-supported app that you can find here in the Windows Phone Store. You can find the Windows 8 version (free as well) of Filmwave here in the Windows Store.

Ok this is weird, this post showed up fully in my RSS feed but all of the other WPCentral posts aren't, they only show the first paragraph! Obviously I would prefer the full post, so if you fixed it then thanks but if it was just broken then that is wired! O_o
