Warner Bros. Interactive has released the first gameplay trailer from the upcoming DC Comics superhero fighting game sequel Injustice 2. The game is due sometime in 2017 for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

The trailer itself shows matches with Supergirl fighting against one of the game's new characters, the Red Lantern Atrocitus, along with Aquaman going up against Gorilla Grodd and Black Manta. Of course, the trailer also shows Batman fighting Superman. It also shows a ton of huge map transitions, such as Supergirl being hit so hard she flies into a train, and Grodd getting eaten by a shark brought in by Aquaman. We also see some of the game's costume changes, as some of the heroes get a version of battle armor, although it's not yet clear how they affect gameplay.

We expect to see even more of Injustice 2 next week as part of E3 2016 in Los Angeles.
