It was just a few days ago that Microsoft announced some upcoming changes for Fresh Paint on Windows Phone and Windows 8. The Windows 8 version is getting updated later this week when Windows 8 officially launches for the general public, but you can now download the latest version of Fresh Paint on Windows Phone. Let’s check it out.
The last update for Fresh Paint on Windows Phone brought support for 512MB devices on Windows Phone 8. That was a very welcomed update for anyone with a device like the Lumia 520. Here’s what’s new today for Fresh Paint:
- New pencil
- “Inspire Me” feature helps you to search Bing for images to incorporate into your masterpiece
- SkyDrive improvements enable you to start painting on your phone and pick up where you left off on your PC
- Front-facing camera support
- Improved camera lenses
- Bug fixes
The new pencil will be useful for those who like doing sketches on the go. We can’t wait to try it out with larger devices like the upcoming Lumia 1520. The Inspire Me feature is pretty cool and also might be the first places you see the new Bing logo on Windows Phone. If you’re not sure what to paint, Fresh Paint will use Bing to pull in a variety of images to get you started. It’s a fun way to get those creative juices up and flowing.
SkyDrive integration allows your artwork to follow you from device to device. So you can start a masterpiece on your Surface, but add some extra touches while mobile with your Windows Phone.
We’re not the world’s best artists by any stretch, so we’ll let you guys showcase your work. Want Fresh Paint for Windows Phone 8? Download it from the Windows Phone Store, use the QR code below, or swipe to the right in our app.
