Gwent: The Witcher Card Game closed beta test delayed until October 25

CD Projekt Red has decided to delay the closed beta test for Gwent: The Witcher Card Game. The collectible card game spin-off from The Witcher 3 was supposed to start its closed beta in September but it has now been pushed back to October 25.

In a post on the game's official forums, CD Projekt Red stated:

At E3 we announced that we'd launch the Closed Beta of GWENT: The Witcher Card Game in September. Unfortunately, we feel we need some extra time with the game before we hand it off to you for testing. We know we can make a first impression only once, and want to be sure everything is ready before we blast off. Delivering a good game is more important to us than keeping a deadline. Still, that doesn't mean we don't realize that delays can be disappointing, and we apologize for making you wait.

The closed beta will be released first for PC and Xbox One with the PlayStation version coming a bit later. You can still sign up to be picked for the beta test at the Gwent website.
