Halo: The Fall of Reach launch trailer shows more of the CGI mini-series

The launch of Halo 5: Guardians for the Xbox One on October 27 will be accompanied by the release of Halo: The Fall of Reach, a three-party CGI animated series. Microsoft has now released a new launch trailer for Halo: The Fall of Reach, showing off some more footage of the series.

The series is based on the Halo tie-in prose novel of the same name. Here is a quick description:

"Relive the origin of the legendary Master Chief and the Spartan program in this animated adaptation of one of Halo's most beloved stories. Kidnapped as children and conscripted into a brutal military training and augmentation program, the Spartans were designed to be the ultimate weapon against chaos and insurgency – but when a dangerous alien alliance known as The Covenant declares war on humanity, the Spartans might be our only hope."

The series will be available first for owners of the Digital Deluxe Edition, Limited Edition and Limited Collector's Edition of Halo 5: Guardians to watch on the Halo Channel apps. It's likely that Microsoft will collect all three parts and release it as a movie later on, as it has for its two previously released live-action digital series Halo: Forward Unto Dawn and Halo: Nightfall.
