Microsoft's final announcement for its Gamescom 2015 Xbox briefing was the surprise reveal of Halo Wars 2. The sequel to the sci-fi real-time strategy game set in the Halo universe, is coming in the fall of 2016 for the Xbox One and Windows 10.
The game itself will be developed by The Creative Assembly, best known for their Total War RTS games. A CGI trailer for Halo Wars 2 was released, but it revealed little about the game, other than the fight between Earth forces and the Covenant is still the focus of the title. No other details about the game have been announced.
