We wouldn't say that NASCAR and Halo are two subjects that cross over that often, but they're about to at the Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway on October 18. To help celebrate the impending launch of Halo 5: Guardians, son of legendary NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt, Dale Earnhardt Jr., and Jamie McMurray will be driving a set of Halo-themed cars, with Master Chief gracing one and Spartan Locke on the other.
"The opportunity to team up with Microsoft and Xbox for the launch of Halo 5: Guardians is very unique," said Dale Earnhardt Jr., driver of the No. 88 Chevrolet SS for Hendrick Motorsports. "We've got a great partnership and it will be fun to highlight aspects of the game on the racetrack with our Master Chief paint scheme."
So, if you count yourself as a fan of both NASCAR and the Halo franchise, you'll get a little extra treat on October 8 at the Kansas Speedway. We don't know quite yet what the cars will look like, but you can get a taste with the teaser above.
