Happy Wars will battle its way to the Windows Store in December

Happy Wars, a quirky free-to-play action battle game already available for Xbox One and Xbox 360, will make its way to Windows 10 on December 15. When it launches on the Windows Store, Happy Wars will also feature cross-platform play across all three systems.

If you're unfamiliar with Happy Wars, the game lets you take part in wacky online multiplayer battles involving up to 16 players at a time. The game is highly stylized, featuring a unique look to go along with its six classes and smattering of different gaming modes.

One big thing worth noting is that Happy Wars developer Toylogic says that it will "conclude service" for the Steam version of the game when Happy Wars launches on the Windows Store. From Toylogic:

This strategic decision to consolidate and focus efforts on maximizing the cross-play will expand the community, allow the team to better optimize its resources to prioritize growing and furthering the gameplay experience.

Luckily, you'll be able to transfer your save data from the Steam version to the Windows Store version of the game to hold onto your items and progress.

Will you be trying out Happy Wars when it launches on December 15? Let us know in the comments!
