Hey DJ! updated with new voice commands; goes free to bring in the new year

Hey DJ!

Hey DJ! for Windows Phone is a hands-free music player that allows you to play music in your collection using your voice. All you need to do is say the name of the song, artist, album, genre or the playlist you want to play.

The version 2.3 of the app just went live in the Store and as part of a New Year promotion, the full version is free until January 14.

The latest version includes new voice commands - next track, previous track, pause music, resume music, shuffle on/off, repeat on/off. The voice commands are available in English as of now, although other languages are coming soon. There are some bug fixes and stability improvements as well.

Hey DJ!

Hey DJ! is an interesting app and you should try it while driving or walking to play music. The app has been developed at Diego Carlomagno, a Developer Lead in the Windows Phone team at Microsoft. It is a solid music companion app and fills a gap since Microsoft did not include voice commands for music in Windows Phone 8.

Download the app from the Windows Phone Store and let us know if it’s good one for you.

I was too but it was so hard to use with wp7 since half the time it didn't hear you, now with wp8 its fast and accurate haven't missed a command yet

This is a great app. Purchased it when it launched. My only issue with it is it won't launch cloud music. The tunes need to physically be in the phone.

I've had my black 928 since May 31st and this is the first time I've commented on an app, not that I'm saying there aren't any other great ones to comment on!  I just have to say that this app is awesome!!! I asked it for a song by name and it was playing in 2 or 3 seconds. This will save having to mess around with my phone while driving to find a particular tune! Of course I don't mess around with my phone while

i have probablu silly question but i cant find answer for it so i will ask it :-)

When paid application is in promotion for free does install counts as bying ?

i mean if i uninstall it could i install it back again month later, do it bind to my

ms account like other buyed apps ?

PS. Sorry for my english i hope you understand what im sayin.

Like this app when in middle of gaming and don't want to close app, but wish I could open all audio apps like this since I get tired of my music. Why, why, why?
