HP has today announced the EliteBook Folio 1020, a sleek new Windows laptop. This 13-inch laptop takes advantage of Intel's new Core M processors, weighs just 2.2 pounds and is 15.7mm thick. There's also a QHD display (2560 x 1440) to really bring Windows to life.
The highlight of this laptop is its security features, which sees the device meet military MIL-STD-810G standards for ruggedness. The notebook has a fanless design, so think of it as powering through tasks as silently as your Windows 8 tablet, and speaking of which, there is both a touch and non-touch option, depending on your preference.
Expect to see the slightly heavier version of the HP EliteBook Folio 1020 (2.6 pounds) to hit markets in February early next year (with the lighter variant to follow in April). Unfortunately, there is no word yet on pricing.
