HP revamps its Stream notebooks, available October 18 starting at $199

HP has revamped its Stream line of notebooks, making them even thinner while offering new color options with longer lasting battery life. There will be two different sized models, an 11.6 and 13.3-inch, and prices for the revamped notebooks start at just $199. As for what's inside these low cost notebooks, you will find an Intel Celeron processor partnered with 32GB of eMMC flash memory. Both will offer one USB 3.0 port, one USB 2.0 port, as well as an HDMI port and microSD card reader.

The 11.6-inch model weighs in at just 2.6 pounds and is shown to give up to 10.5 hours of battery life per charge, while the 13.3-inch model comes in at 3.42 pounds and should offer up to 8.5 hours of battery. Both will be available in a Cobalt Blue and Violet Purple, and the 11.6-incher will also be offered in an Ash Silver. Pricing starts at $199 for the 11.6-inch notebook, and the 13.3-inch variant will just run a few dollars more at $229. Both are expected to become available starting October 18.
