Insider Program and Windows 10 app among the many new Dev Center additions for Windows Store publishers

During Build 2016, Microsoft announced that Windows Store app publishers will see a number of additions to the Dev Center backend. Perhaps the biggest new feature is the launch of the Dev Center Insider Program, which is similar to the Windows Insider program for Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile.

Microsoft stated:

Today we're launching the Dev Center Insider Program, enabling you to view and test new Dev Center features before they are released to all developers and provide feedback to help improve these features. The program will be rolled out in stages. To participate, accept the invitation notification in Dev Center, and then send your feedback through the Dev Center feedback link. You can opt in or opt out of the program at any time from the Account settings page on Dev Center.

Microsoft is also allowing Windows Store publishers to add affiliate ads in their app , along with a way to view the publishing status of each app. The company has also launched a Windows 10 UWP app for Dev Center, which will allow publishers to view information about each app they have in the Windows Store on PCs and phones.
