Microsoft has launched a new version of its Xbox One S TV commercial, and this time it promotes the fact that it has a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player inside.
While the first version of the ad stated that the Xbox One S could play 4K Ultra HD video, it did not clearly mention that included the support of 4K Ultra Blu-ray discs. Instead, it focused much of the attention to the fact that it is 40% smaller than the original Xbox One. The new ad, as posted on YouTube, clearly states that the Xbox One S is "the only console with 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray" support. In case you didn't catch that, that change in the ad is a small dig against Sony, which will launch its PlayStation 4 Pro without such a feature in mid-November.
Do you think it was a good idea for Microsoft to make this small but noticeable change in its Xbox One S marketing campaign? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
