With rumours and speculation pointing at Windows Phone GDR3 including support for 1080p HD displays, Evleaks has today added fuel to the fire with a leaked screenshot from the Nokia "bandit" device. The image is 1080x1920, a resolution Windows Phone does not currently support, but it's reported to be from the Lumia 1520 "phablet", possibly packing GDR3.
One of the first things to note is the extra column (or two if you're using small Live Tiles) to add yet more live content to the Start screen. If you found yourself scrolling into oblivion just to reach a specific tile, this will please you by enabling the combination of the following on each row:
- 1x large, 1x medium
- 1x large, 4x small
- 3x medium
- 2x medium, 4x small
- 1x medium, 8x small
- 12x small
And here's the alleged screenshot from the Lumia 1520, which matches what's displayed on the device in the above photo:
A small touch is the clock being set at 15:20. Remember to take this with a pinch of salt, but one can gander at the image above knowing that this is certainly highly likely to become reality. So what do you make of the screenshot and are you looking forward to owning more screen real estate?
