Letter Crush, a wordy Windows 10 game, launches this month's AdDuplex HERO App lineup

Letter Crush is a fun word game that is available for both Windows 10 PC and Mobile that tests your skills at word creation. The Boggle-styled game has hundreds of levels where you have to create words, earn points and meet a variety of goals. Letter Crush also kicks off this month's AdDuplex HERO App lineup.

Being a HERO App, Letter Crush becomes a part of a promotional campaign for Windows Phone and Windows developers on the AdDuplex Network. The campaign partners AdDuplex with AppDeals, TechRewards{.nofollow} and Windows Central to deliver a host of benefits to the top apps and games each month. Our role in the HERO App campaign is to offer a little exposure to these titles by sharing them with you, our readers.

When you first launch Letter Crush, you will be greeted with an option to log into the game with your Facebook account. You can opt out of logging in with a Facebook account, but in doing so you can participate in an online leaderboard and your gaming progress will synchronize between devices.

Once you get past the Facebook login window, Letter Crush transitions to the main menu that has five difficulty chapters that include forty or more individual gaming levels. The difficulty levels include Elementary, Intermediate, Advanced, Proficient, and Wordsmith. As you complete one level of difficulty, you will advance to the next and each level within a difficulty is also progressively unlocked.

Letter Crush

Gameplay presents you with a 3x3 grid of letters and a goal to reach. The goals range from scoring some points within a set number of moves, remove a number of letters in a set number of moves, etc.

Across the top of the gaming screen, you will find your gaming stats that include the number of letters, moves, and points. You will also find a hint button, a button to list the top words and a gaming timer.

Letter Crush

You create words by tapping and dragging your finger across the letters. You can create a word by connecting adjacent letters in all directions but backward. The larger the word, the more points earned. When you create your first word, the gaming timer will start. As you would guess, you fail a gaming level if you do not earn the required points, fail to remove the required letters or the game timer expires before you reach your goal.

All in all, Letter Crush is an entertaining game to spend a little time with. The game substitutes the real-time competition similar games have with scoring goals and move limitations. Available for both Windows 10 PC and Mobile, Letter Crush is a free, ad-supported game with a few in-app purchase opportunities.
