Lumia 610 Windows Phone heading to Clove UK for £180

WP Central

Clove has published an article on their blog detailing the news of the Lumia 610 heading their way. The UK retailer expects to stock and ship the Windows Phone for just £180. The low-end device sports 8GB internal memory, a 3.7 inch display, 5 megapixel camera, and the Nokia Collection of OEM apps including Maps, Drive, Transport, Music and more.

Don't be fooled by the specifications, or the pricing, as the Lumia 610 is a speedy little handset that packs a punch. The Lumia 610 is available at Clove in both cyan and black versions, with first stock expected by late May. Note that this version doesn't appear to sport NFC, which is set to launch on Orange later this year.

Lumia 610 Windows Phone heading to Clove UK for £180

I don't get it either... I can get better 512mb RAM devices for less money
I got my Dell Venue Pro for 150€ in january

I'd buy two of these right now if they were available in the US on our carrier (Tmo). They would do what my users need them to do and they look better than any phone in this price range.

I'm just curious. How is windows phone doing in the Netherlands? Do you see people buying them? What about people using them? Do you run into people with a windows phone in the wild?

Windows phone begins to grow a little in the Netherlands but I'm almost never see someone with a windows phone, but I think the Lumia 900 will be popular. The Nokia lumia 800 is the most popular phone right now.
Sorry for bad english

Why to spend 180pounds when one can get Nokia 710 for 129.95pounds on carphonewarehouse.co.uk. And if you go for upgrade, you get it for 119.95 pounds. I got 710 for 129.95, which I believe is an excellent deal.

The price will drop soon - the intro price is never the "real" price. This will eventually be the least expensive Lumia phone.

Initial pricing for the Lumia 710 was also far higher than the £130 or so it is available for now. Could we see the first £100 Windows Phone?

Already seen it, Orange are doing the HTC Radar for £99.95 in-store subject to stock availability.
Unlock codes on eBay for >£2, absolute bargain.

For comparison, HTC just announced the Desire C which is their first low end ICS phone. It is £169.99 PAYG and has only a 600 Mhz processor and 4 gig of memory (though it does have 512 meg of RAM). So the pricing here does seem to be inline with the competition.

Nokia's stock is now below $3 per share.  This is the lowest it's been since October 1996.  How low can it go?
