New import data from India has revealed possible prices for the Lumia 640 and the Lumia 640 XL Windows Phones for that country. The data shows that the Lumia 640 Dual SIM has a declared price of INR 4,683 ($75), while the Lumia 640 XL Dual SIM has a price of INR 6,710 ($107).
The prices comes from the Zauba web database, but keep in mind that Microsoft could sell both smartphones for slightly different prices when they do go on sale in India. While the company has yet to announce when the phones will become available in that country, it's already promoting the larger 5.7-inch Lumia 640 XL with banner ads, as shown by a Twitter post made by Sudesh Baser earlier today.
The Lumia 640 will have a 5-inch 720p display, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, along with an 8MP rear camera and a 1MP front facing camera. The 5.7-inch Lumia 640 XL has the same amount of RAM and storage as the 640, but with a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front facing camera. Both phones use Windows Phone 8.1 out of the box but Microsoft has confirmed they are ready to be upgrade to Windows 10 for phones when it is officially launched later in 2015.
