According to VentureBeat, Microsoft has begun distributing invites for an upcoming Office event in New York City, which is scheduled to take place on November 2.

While little is currently known about what the event will entail, some executives will be attending as speakers. Microsoft's Satya Nadella and Office corporate vice president Kirk Koenigsbauer will both be in attendance, alongside "special guests" to be revealed at a later date. According to an email unveiling the event, speakers will "discuss the changing nature of collaboration and how we can empower every team to achieve more."

This event will fall exactly one week after Microsoft's Windows 10 event, which takes place on October 26. While the Windows 10 keynote is expected to place a heavier emphasis on hardware, November's Office event will assumedly focus on software and services.
