Microsoft has not yet launched its unified Windows Store that it is developing for Windows 10 apps, according to a statement sent to Windows Central by a company spokesperson. Earlier this week, we reported that the unified Windows Store had launched, but in fact it was a new Apps on Windows website.
The new site seemed to have removed the Windows Phone Store on a web browser in favor of a universal app store. However, Microsoft's spokesperson has now told us that is not the case:
"The Apps on Windows site lets you browse both Windows and Windows Phone apps, but is not the new unified Windows Store. We'll share more on the Windows Store soon."
With the release of Windows 10 now less than two weeks away, it shouldn't be long before Microsoft offers more details on the unified Windows Store and launches it officially.
